Rocky Road Recipe - ein Rezept unserer easy Sprachschule in Paignton

Ingredients:
  • 300 grams dark chocolate 
  • 150 grams soft butter 
  • 4 tablespoons golden syrup 
  • 200 grams biscuits
  • 150 grams red glace cherries 
  • 125 grams mini marshmallows 
  • 100 grams dried fruit
  • A shot of Baileys
  • 1 tablespoon icing sugar for dusting


(You may use different alcohol and different ingredients such as maltesers, honeycomb and nuts)


1. Put the dried fruit and Baileys in a bowl, for the fruit to absorb the alcohol. (Leave for 20 minutes or longer, depending on how juicy you want the fruit to taste of Baileys).
2. Melt the butter, chocolate and golden syrup in a bowl over a pan of hot water, then put to one side.
3. Put the biscuits into a freezer bag and then bash them with a rolling pin. You are aiming for both crumbs and pieces of biscuits.
4. Fold the biscuit pieces and crumbs into the melted chocolate mixture in the saucepan, and then add the marshmallows, cherries and dried fruit with baileys.
4. Tip into a foil tray (24cm / 9 inch square); flatten as best you can with a spatula to smooth the top.
5. Refrigerate for about 2 hours or overnight.
6. Cut into 24 fingers and dust with icing sugar by pushing it gently through a tea strainer or small sieve.
